Instructions
- Begin by gathering your ingredients: 2 tablespoons of cumin seeds, 1 large head of cabbage, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.
- Toast the cumin seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until they become fragrant and start to pop, about 2–3 minutes.
- Slice the cabbage into thin strips and mince the garlic cloves.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic and cumin seeds and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the cabbage and sea salt and sauté for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
