- 1/2 cup spelt flour or whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1/4 cup cold ghee or unsalted butter cubed
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Dish:
- Assemble the Grain Bake:
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked grains, sliced apples, raisins, and slivered almonds.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Prepare the Crumb Topping:
- In a separate bowl, combine spelt flour, oats, almond meal, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Add the Topping and Bake:
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the grain and apple mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve:
- Allow the bake to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Garnish:
- Optionally, garnish with additional almond slivers or a drizzle of honey for added sweetness and a touch of elegance.
