- 2 organic apples thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
To Serve:
- Grass-fed whole milk or almond milk vegan option
- Optional: Extra cinnamon for sprinkling
Instructions
Prepare Apple Chips:
- Preheat your oven to the lowest setting or use a dehydrator.
- Arrange thinly sliced apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Dehydrate in the oven or dehydrator until completely dry and crisp (time may vary based on method).
Make Cereal Flakes:
- In another bowl, combine melted coconut oil, apple sauce, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
Shape and Bake Flakes:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough thinly between two sheets of parchment paper. Remove the top sheet.
- Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, score the dough into small rectangles to form flakes.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crisp and golden. Let cool completely.
Assemble the Cereal:
- Once the apple pieces and flakes are cool, mix them together in a large bowl.
Serve:
