- 2 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/3 cup (75 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (150 g) fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup (7 g) fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until combined
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until the dough is crumbly.
- Gently fold in the fresh blueberries and finely chopped basil leaves.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a round circle about 1-inch thick
- Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown
- Let cool and enjoy your freshly-baked blissful blueberry & basil scones.
