  • In a mixing bowl, combine 8 oz of full-fat cream cheese at room temperature with 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, and the zest of half a lemon, beating until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Preheat your broiler to high and arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread, ensuring it covers the surface evenly.
  • Place the baking sheet under the broiler and watch closely, broiling for about 2-4 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and caramelized.
