Ingredients
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Almond Meal
- 2 teaspoons Coconut Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1/4 cup Raw Honey
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Dried Figs, chopped
- 1/4 cup Walnuts, chopped
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of almond meal, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/4 cup of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and press firmly into each cup of the muffin tray.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl combine 1/2 cup of dried figs, 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
- Once the tarts have cooled, top each one with the fig and walnut mixture.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the figs are tender.
