- 1 cup of unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of elderflower syrup, freshly made from the finest blossoms
- 4 tablespoons of cold, unsalted butter, made from the creamiest of organically-sourced milk
- 1/2 cup of freshly milled einkorn flour
- 3 tablespoons of Earl Grey tea, freshly brewed and carefully cooled with filtered spring water
Instructions
- Begin by gathering your ingredients:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda
- Using a fork, mix in the elderflower syrup, butter cubes, and einkorn flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs
- Add the Earl Grey tea and mix until the dough just comes together
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until the dough is just combined
- Form the dough into a flat circle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into round shapes using a biscuit cutter.
- Place the biscuits onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving
