Ingredients
- 2 cups of freshly-picked elderflower blossoms
- 2 tablespoons of freshly-grated ginger root
- 2 tablespoons of wildflower honey
- 2 cups of organic emmer wheat
- 2 tablespoons of freshly-squeezed lemon juice
- 4 cups of mineral-rich spring water
- 2 tablespoons of pure rose water
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the elderflower concentrate: In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of elderflower concentrate, 2 tablespoons of minced fresh ginger, and 2 tablespoons of honey
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the wheat is cooked and soft
- Once the wheat is cooked, add it to the elderflower concentrate and stir to combine.
- Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of rose water to the mixture and stir until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator and allow it to cool for at least 2 hours
- Once cooled, pour the mixture into glasses filled with ice and enjoy.
