- 1 cup of fonio
- 1 cup of gaba rice
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup of dried figs
- 2 cups of vegetable broth

Instructions
- In a medium-sized pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the fonio and gaba rice and stir until lightly toasted, about 3 minutes.
- Add the figs and stir for another minute.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the grains are tender.
- Serve hot with additional salt and pepper to taste.
