Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches
- 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 quart water
Instructions
- Begin by bringing 1 quart of water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and add 2 cups of sugar, stirring until dissolved.
- Peel and finely chop 4 ripe peaches and add them to the pan.
- Using a microplane or fine grater, grate 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger into the pan.
- Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
- Once the mixture has cooled, transfer it to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or baking pan and place in the freezer.
- After one hour, remove the pan from the freezer and stir the mixture with a fork.
- Return the pan to the freezer and repeat this process every hour for 4 hours.
- When the sorbet is frozen, scoop into individual serving dishes and enjoy!
