Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 cup green gram
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup diced potatoes
- 1/4 cup dried goji berries
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Begin by gently simmering 1 cup of green gram in 8 cups of water for 25 minutes
- Once the green gram is cooked, strain the liquid and set aside
- In a pot, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee and add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- Stir for 2 minutes, until fragrant
- Add 1 cup of diced carrots, 1 cup of diced potatoes, and 1/4 cup of dried goji berries
- Sauté for 5 minutes
- Pour in the reserved liquid and bring to a boil
- Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender
- Remove from heat and season with salt to taste
- Serve hot and enjoy the pure, therapeutic flavors of nature's ingredients
