- 2 cups fresh figs
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Arrange fresh figs in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Drizzle a generous amount of honey over the figs
- Roast in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool
- Once cooled, place the figs in a food processor and blend until smooth
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the fig puree, cream, sugar, and vanilla extract
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions
- Once the ice cream has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and place it in the freezer until ready to serve.
