Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6-8 ripe figs
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F
  • Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter
  • In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of almond flour, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together ½ cup of melted butter, ½ cup of honey, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  • Peel and slice 6-8 ripe figs into thin wedges.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly
  • Top with the sliced figs and ¼ cup of sliced almonds
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  • Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan
