- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup melted butter
- ½ cup honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6-8 ripe figs
- ¼ cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F
- Grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter
- In a medium bowl, mix together 1 cup of almond flour, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together ½ cup of melted butter, ½ cup of honey, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Peel and slice 6-8 ripe figs into thin wedges.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly
- Top with the sliced figs and ¼ cup of sliced almonds
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
- Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan
