Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt
  • In a separate bowl, mash 4 ripe pears with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt 1/2 cup of butter
  • Add the mashed pears to the butter and honey mixture and stir until everything is well incorporated.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk and 1 egg until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the cobbler batter into an 8-inch baking dish.
  • Pour the pear and honey mixture over the cobbler batter.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
