- Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C).
- Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup (120 ml) of maple syrup, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup (120 ml) of melted butter, and 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1/2 cup (120 ml) of brown sugar, 1/2 cup (120 ml) of all-purpose flour, and 1 cup (240 ml) of chopped walnuts.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
