Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 8 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup Montgomery marmalade
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Seasonal fresh fruit, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F
  • In a medium bowl, combine 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, ⅓ cup of almond flour, and ½ teaspoon of fine sea salt
  • Cut 8 tablespoons of chilled unsalted butter into small cubes, then use a pastry cutter to mix the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles wet sand
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cold water, then mix until the dough comes together
  • Generously flour a cutting board before rolling out the dough into a 12-inch circle
  • Transfer the dough to a 9-inch tart pan, pressing the dough evenly against the sides and trimming off any excess
  • Place the tart pan onto a baking sheet and bake the tart shell in the preheated oven for 15 minutes
  • While the tart shell is baking, prepare the Montgomery marmalade: In a medium saucepan, heat one cup of Montgomery marmalade, ¼ cup of honey, and ¼ teaspoon of sea salt over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Once the tart shell is finished baking, remove from the oven and evenly spread the marmalade mixture over the bottom of the tart
  • Place the tart back into the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the marmalade is bubbly and the tart shell is golden
  • Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes before serving
