- • 1 onion, finely chopped
- • 2 cloves garlic, minced
- • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- • 2 cups pearl barley
- • 1 tablespoon salt
- • 6 cups vegetable broth
- • 1 cup frozen peas
Instructions
- Begin your culinary journey with a deep breath and a moment of gratitude for the nourishing ingredients.
- In a large pot, heat two tablespoons of oil over medium heat
- Add two cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in two tablespoons of tomato paste and cook until fragrant, about one minute.

- Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pearl barley is tender, about 40 minutes.
