- Drizzle each fig half lightly with pure honey, taking care not to oversaturate, as this will cause them to burn during the roasting process.
- Place the figs in the preheated oven and roast for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until they are soft to the touch and the honey starts to caramelize.
- While the figs are roasting, take 100 grams of high-quality goat cheese and crumble it into a small bowl. Allow it to reach room temperature to ensure a smooth texture for serving.
- Prepare a light dressing by combining 2 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt in a separate bowl. Whisk until emulsified and set aside.
- Once the figs are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes to settle.
- Arrange the roasted figs artistically on individual serving plates or a platter suitable for communal sharing.
- Dot the goat cheese crumbles generously over and around the figs, allowing the warmth of the figs to slightly soften the cheese.
- Drizzle the coconut oil and maple syrup dressing over the figs and goat cheese, ensuring each fig receives a hint of the dressing.
