- 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon of honey
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Next, cut the roasted red peppers into thin strips, ensuring that each strip is about 1/2 inch in length.
- Steep two teaspoons of rooibos tea in 1/2 cup of boiling water for 5 minutes.
- After steeping the rooibos, combine the tea with the roasted red pepper strips in a food processor and pulse until a paste-like consistency is achieved.
- Spread the paste thinly on a sheet of puff pastry, making sure to cover the entire surface.
- Roll the pastry lengthwise, forming a log.
- Cut the log into 1/2 inch thick slices and place each slice on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the pinwheels for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the pinwheels to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
