Ingredients
- 3/4 cup grass-fed half-and-half
- 1 Sakura Cherry Blossom tea bag or a cherry herbal tea bag as an alternative
- 1-2 tsp rosewater to taste
- 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup or to taste
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- A few drops of vanilla extract
- Optional: Finely ground pistachios for garnish
- Optional: Dried edible cherry blossoms or rose petals for garnish
- Optional: A pinch of pink or red food coloring to achieve the desired color
Instructions
- Steep the Sakura Cherry Blossom tea bag in 1/4 cup of hot water for 5 minutes to make a concentrated tea.
- In a saucepan, gently heat the grass-fed half-and-half with the honey or agave syrup and cardamom, stirring until the sweetener has dissolved and the spices are evenly distributed.
- Remove the half-and-half mixture from the heat and stir in the rosewater and vanilla extract. If using, whisk in a pinch of food coloring until the desired pink hue is reached.
- Froth the flavored half-and-half until it becomes light and airy.
- Pour the steeped tea into a serving mug, leaving space for the frothy half-and-half.
- Slowly pour the frothed half-and-half over the tea, allowing it to layer on top.
- Garnish with a light sprinkle of finely ground pistachios and a scattering of dried cherry blossoms or rose petals.
- Serve the latte warm, inviting your guests to stir the layers together before sipping to enjoy the full spectrum of flavors.
