Ingredients
- 1 cup organic spelt flakes
- 1 cup ancient grain multigrain flakes
- 1/4 cup organic rye or buckwheat flakes
- 1 large organic apple a crisp variety such as Honeycrisp or Pink Lady, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger root finely grated
- 1 cup wild blueberries fresh or frozen, thawed if frozen
- 1 cup premium almond milk unsweetened
- 2 tablespoons organic raw honey preferably local
- 1/2 teaspoon pure Madagascar vanilla extract
- Organic grass-fed ghee for serving
- Optional for garnish: Organic powdered maple sugar
- Optional for garnish: Fresh banana slices
- Optional for garnish: Organic chia seeds
Instructions
- In a stylish serving bowl, blend the spelt flakes, ancient grain multigrain flakes, and rye or buckwheat flakes.
- Take a crisp apple and thinly slice it into elegant slivers. Add the apple slices to the bowl, arranging some on top for visual appeal.
- Sprinkle the freshly grated ginger root over the flakes and apple slices, adding a zesty flavor to the mix.
- Gently fold in the wild blueberries, setting aside a few for a final garnish.
- Whisk together the almond milk, honey, and vanilla extract in a separate glass bowl until well combined.
- Pour the almond milk mixture over the flakes, apple slices, and blueberries, ensuring even coverage.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight, allowing the flavors to meld and the flakes to become tender.
- Upon serving, if the muesli is too thick, add a splash more almond milk to reach the desired consistency.
- Serve the muesli in individual bowls, elegantly topped with thin apple slices, a smattering of the reserved blueberries, a drizzle of ghee, and optional garnishes such as powdered maple sugar, banana slices, and chia seeds.
